The New York Kurt Vonnegut Meetup Group
|
The Organizer (Marty) envisions fun, fantasy, fact, fiction; a diverse group of members--readers, writers, film makers, librarians, professors of literature, liberals and conservatives and everything between; people from all sections of New York City and environs; all ages; persons religious, ethical, non-religious; cartoonists and graphic artists and musicians, etc., etc., THOSE WHO CARE ABOUT OUR CULTURE AND SOCIETY. We will set the focus on one book at a time, but will welcome comments and views relevant in other novels, etc. The first couple of meetups will not center down on any one book, but will center on our connections with his thought and works, and with such themes as "Kurt Vonnegut, A FUNNY MAN". We will share in all our MeetUps our personal reasons for attending, and devise whatever events and processes work for the group---over a period of time.
