    The book for January 19th meetup is SLAPSTICK:or Lonesome No More(1976), by our "main man", Kurt Vonnegut. I would appreciate knowing which books you have read so far, and whether you know this particular one. It very well demonstrates his several types of humor and writing expertise, not to mention his ability to entertain on every page. Shall we email before January 19th to begin the subject of VONNEGUT now? Please do RSVP re meetup. Bring funny friends to help us get started laughing! FUN!

If I can, I would say Good, because although there was only one other member and my guest there, nevertheless we had two engrossing hours together. We did discuss the chosen book, but also went back and forth about other books of Vonnegut, and remarked on his message and his style. ”
